The
Pretty Reckless – The Bowery Ballroom, NYC

The Pretty Reckless played to a sold out crowd at The Bowery Ballroom in their home town of New York City. What’s better than wrapping up another successful year for The Pretty Reckless than playing a sold out show? It's playing three sold out shows where it all began.
David Harris for Sound Rebel Magazine was in attendance for show number one to capture the moment. As soon as the band opened the show with their hit song, "Death By Rock and Roll" the crowd came to life and never looked back for the entire set.
The Pretty Reckless made up of Taylor Momsen (lead vocals, rhythm guitar), Ben Phillips (lead guitar, backing vocals), Mark Damon (bass), and Jamie Perkins (drums).

The Pretty Reckless are barely coming off the release of the highly successful album and tour, Death by Rock and Roll and now the recent release of Other Worlds, a compilation album containing alternative versions of previously released songs and new covers, including a remix of "Got So High".

Their most recent release, Other Worlds, provides fans another dimension to the band and
to Taylor’s vocals.

"For a long time, we've been trying to figure out an alternative way of releasing music, including songs we love that didn’t make our records, covers, and alternate versions," Momsen stated in a press release.

"We found a way to do this coherently and consistently with Other Worlds. We're a rock band, so there are lots of electric guitars on our records. However, we've gotten incredible feedback from fans about our acoustic performances, and we'd never put those out in any real format. So, this is a different take on the traditional format of a record and a stripped back version of us that our fans haven't really heard before, but it's still us."

“You get to hear a
different side of Taylor's vocals," guitarist Ben Phillips
added. "It was a chance for us to see what she would sound like
singing songs by people who have inspired us. It also gave us some perspective
of where we need to go and what we need to be if we want to be that good."
Nick Perri & The Underground Thieves hailing from Philadelphia, PA opened all three nights. Nick who is an accomplished musician, singer, songwriter and producer opened the show with so much soul and emotion and played an incredible set.

Nick Perri (vocals and guitar), Brian Weaver (bass) and Zil Fessler (drums) performed such hits as, “Feeling Good”, “Let You Know”, “I Want You” and a stunning version of the Neil Young classic “My My Hey Hey”. Nick's vocals and guitar were flawless and the band was just what the crowd needed before The Pretty Reckless came to the stage.
